Rewarding Your Bridesmaids

Your bridesmaids have probably doled out a lot of money for your special day. They bought the shoes you picked, the dress you picked, and the necklace you picked. They may have made travel arrangements and even paid to have their hair, nails, and/or makeup done. Not to mention, they listened to you complain about whatever situation that went awry (or they will, if they haven’t yet) and helped you fight your way through the mess that is wedding planning. It adds up fast, and we’re not just talking monetarily! So why not get them something nice in return?

Bridesmaid Gifts

Bridesmaid’s gifts (and groomsmen’s gifts, for that matter) are a fantastic way to show that you appreciate them and that the time and effort they put into this event meant something to you, and there are a few approaches you could take to giving them gifts. These items could be sentimental, practical, or even decorative. Something sentimental might be giving the groomsmen monogrammed handkerchiefs; for the bridesmaids, it may be a photo memory tucked in a hand-made quilt. Something practical might be an overnight bag for all the things they need to lug to the wedding or perhaps a monogrammed flask if that’s your flavor.

Personalized Gifts

If you wanted to go for something decorative, you could give them anything from a personalized for their home, or accessories for the wedding, such as monogrammed cufflinks or a Swarovski necklace. I know I’ve mentioned monogramming several times, but there’s nothing like giving a gift that personal touch! There are also more whimsical options such as cute wine glasses and shot glasses, either painted or etched, but whatever you choose to go with, remember that if they don’t use it, it will be a waste, no matter how much it cost.

What Are Your Ideas?

While others are thinking of what kinds of gifts they can give you, have you been busy thinking about what to give your bridesmaids and groomsmen?

Happy planning!
